Meg Sparrow is a dedicated civil rights attorney specializing in prisoners’ rights, unlawful arrest, police misconduct, and wrongful death cases.

She graduated Magna Cum Laude and second in her class from Washburn School of Law, where she gained experience through moot court, the Washburn Law Journal as a junior writer and then as an executive board member, and a clerkship with the Honorable Judge Daniel D. Crabtree in the Kansas District Court.

Before joining Smith & Marjanovic Law, Meg served as a legal fellow and later as an attorney with the ACLU of New Mexico, focusing on prisoners’ rights and reproductive rights litigation.

She also worked with the ACLU of Kansas as a legislative advocate, where she aided the successful campaign to reject the first anti-abortion ballot measure introduced by the Kansas state legislature after Dobbs v. Jackson’s Women’s Health Organization in 2022.
