Partner, Smith & Marjanovic Law, LLC
David S. Demic is a dedicated personal injury and civil rights attorney whose career reflects a lifelong commitment to advocacy and justice. Born in Germany and first traveling to the United States as a high school exchange student, David quickly discovered a passion for persuasive communication. His early achievements as a nationally recognized speech and debate competitor honed the skills of argumentation and clarity that continue to define his legal practice to this date.
David earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Wyoming College of Law in 2017, where he served as Managing Editor of the Wyoming Law Review. He distinguished himself as captain of the Philip C. Jessup International Moot Court team, leading his team to first place at the Rocky Mountain Regional competition. His legal education also included hands-on experience through the Civil Legal Services Clinic and the International Human Rights Clinic, as well as an internship at the International Criminal Court in The Hague, Netherlands.
Following law school, David served as s clerk for the Wyoming Second Judicial District Court, where he analyzed complex legal issues, drafted judicial opinions, and observed trial proceedings firsthand. He later entered private practice, representing clients in family law, business creation, trusts and estates, and criminal defense matters. The diversity of his practice areas has lent him a holistic view of the practice of law he now leverages to zealously pursue clients in personal injury litigation, negotiation, mediation, and trial advocacy.
Despite David’s love for nuanced litigation matters, his professional focus remains on representing individuals and finding ways to translate complex legal issues into easily understandable issues for his clients. He is committed to ensuring that injury victims and those facing civil rights violations receive strong, effective, and compassionate representation.
